Contenido completo: Los funcionarios encargados del control del tráfico en la zona metropolitana de Estambul arrestaron este pasado fin de semana a un conductor que responde a las iniciales A.N. El individuo estaba conduciendo su vehículo de alta gama con un notable exceso de velocidad, alcanzando los 301 kilómetros por hora. Además, realizaba trompos y derrapajes, poniendo en grave riesgo la seguridad vial en el distrito de Eyüpsultan de la mencionada ciudad de Estambul, tal como indicó el ministro del Interior, Ali Yerlikaya. Fueron las imágenes grabadas por el propio conductor las que lo delataron. El último caso similar ocurrió en Brasil en enero, también involucrando un Porsche.

De acuerdo con la nueva propuesta de la Ley de Tránsito, se aplicará una sanción administrativa de 140.000 liras turcas, equivalentes a aproximadamente 2.700 euros. «Le revocaremos la licencia de conducir por un período de 60 días y se prohibirá la circulación de su vehículo durante 60 días», aclaró el ministro.

«Debemos recordar que el tráfico es un espacio compartido por todos. Si observa a conductores comportándose de esta manera, le rogamos que lo reporte a nuestro Centro de Emergencias 112», concluyó el ministro.

En la autopista donde se produjeron los hechos, el límite de velocidad establecido es de 140 kilómetros por hora, por lo que el infractor detenido circulaba a más del doble de esa cifra.

Additionally, he was performing donuts and skids, seriously endangering road safety in the Eyüpsultan district of the aforementioned city of Istanbul, as indicated by the Interior Minister, Ali Yerlikaya. It was the footage recorded by the driver himself that gave him away. The last similar case occurred in Brazil in January, also involving a Porsche.

According to the new proposed Traffic Law, an administrative penalty of 140,000 Turkish lira will be imposed, equivalent to approximately 2,700 euros. "We will revoke his driver's license for a period of 60 days and his vehicle will be prohibited from circulating for 60 days," the minister clarified.

"We must remember that traffic is a shared space for everyone. If you observe drivers behaving this way, we urge you to report it to our Emergency Center 112," the minister concluded.

On the highway where the events took place, the established speed limit is 140 kilometers per hour, so the detained offender was driving at more than double that figure.
