Los detenidos, que poseen conocimientos técnicos, adquirían pistolas de alarma y señales, las cuales transformaban para que pudieran disparar proyectiles reales. Posteriormente, procedían a venderlas a través de internet y las enviaban a delincuentes de diversas partes de Europa.

Desde al menos el año 2023, estos dos individuos, de nacionalidad belga y holandesa, operaban una plataforma digital y utilizaban identidades falsas para la venta de armas y munición. Uno de ellos, que era militar en su nación de origen, poseía amplios conocimientos en la manipulación de armas de señales y de alarma, lo que le permitía hacerlas aptas para disparar.

Todas las pistolas que fueron incautadas originalmente eran armas de alarma o señales que habían sido modificadas para poder disparar. Las armas detonadoras que fueron transformadas poseen la misma capacidad letal y características que un arma de fuego real, lo que las convierte en objetos prohibidos, penalizándose tanto su tenencia como su comercio a nivel nacional y en el ámbito europeo.

Siguiendo las pistas, los agentes consiguieron identificar a los autores que finalmente serían detenidos y llevaron a cabo el registro de una vivienda ubicada en Portaloa. En este registro, se intervinieron 16 armas de fuego que ya estaban preparadas para su venta, así como una gran cantidad de munición de diferentes calibres, componentes, herramientas y maquinaria específica destinada a la manipulación de armas y la fabricación ilegal de munición. Junto con las tres pistolas que fueron localizadas inicialmente, la investigación ha llevado a la incautación de un total de 19 armas de fuego.

Esta operación, que se enmarca dentro del Plan Integral para el Control de las Armas de Fuego de la Guardia Civil, ha posibilitado el desmantelamiento de un canal de suministro ilegal de armas a nivel europeo e iniciado múltiples investigaciones en diversos países.

La investigación ha estado bajo la dirección de la titular de la Sección Civil y de Instrucción del Tribunal de Instancia 1 de Huércal-Overa (Almería). Se ha llevado a cabo de manera conjunta por varias unidades de investigación de la Guardia Civil, con la colaboración de las fuerzas policiales de Países Bajos, Bélgica, Francia, Italia, Alemania y Europol.

One of them, who was a military member in his home country, had extensive knowledge in the manipulation of signal and alarm weapons, allowing him to make them capable of firing.

All the pistols that were seized were originally alarm or signal weapons that had been modified to be able to fire. The blank-firing weapons that were transformed possess the same lethal capacity and characteristics as a real firearm, making them prohibited objects, with both possession and trade penalized at the national and European levels.

Following the leads, the agents were able to identify the authors who would ultimately be arrested and carried out a search of a residence located in Portaloa. In this search, 16 firearms that were already prepared for sale were seized, along with a large quantity of ammunition of different calibers, components, tools, and specific machinery intended for the manipulation of weapons and the illegal manufacture of ammunition. Along with the three pistols that were initially located, the investigation has led to the seizure of a total of 19 firearms.

This operation, which is part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Control of Firearms of the Civil Guard, has enabled the dismantling of an illegal weapons supply channel at the European level and initiated multiple investigations in various countries.

The investigation has been under the direction of the head of the Civil and Instruction Section of the Court of First Instance 1 of Huércal-Overa (Almería). It has been carried out jointly by several investigative units of the Civil Guard, with the collaboration of police forces from the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, and Europol.
