Estados Unidos continúa causando muertes en el Caribe mientras el mundo permanece indiferente

Contenido completo: Estados Unidos continúa ejecutando a presuntos narcotraficantes en las aguas del Mar Caribe, y en ocasiones también en el Pacífico. Cuando la detención del presidente de Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, parecía haber moderado ciertas prácticas que transgreden la legalidad internacional y que han provocado más de 100 muertes desde septiembre del año pasado, en días recientes se han registrado dos nuevos bombardeos que resultaron en el asesinato de varias personas en aguas distantes del país norteamericano.

El incidente más reciente fue comunicado a través de las redes sociales por el propio secretario de Guerra, Pete Hegseth, quien afirmó que en un ataque cinético letal desde el aire, el Comando Sur de Estados Unidos eliminó a tres presuntos narcotraficantes. Aseguró contar con Inteligencia que los identifica como integrantes de organizaciones narcoterroristas, pero, como es habitual, no presentó evidencia alguna que respalde dicha afirmación.

Mientras tanto, el mundo observa con apatía. Solo Gustavo Petro, presidente de Colombia, responde mediante un tuit en el que menciona la operación que se llevó a cabo simultáneamente por la Fuerza Aeroespacial de su nación, en la que se interceptó un semisumergible cargado de cocaína que estaba a punto de zarpar hacia Europa, todo ello sin que se registraran heridos. Sin embargo, también se reunió con Donald Trump y le ofreció obsequios. Sus declaraciones carecen de peso.

Full content: The United States continues executing alleged drug traffickers in the waters of the Caribbean Sea, and occasionally also in the Pacific. When the arrest of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro seemed to have moderated certain practices that transgress international legality and have caused more than 100 deaths since September of last year, two new bombings have recently been recorded that resulted in the killing of several people in distant waters from the North American country.

The most recent incident was reported through social media by the Secretary of War himself, Pete Hegseth, who stated that in a lethal kinetic airstrike, U.S. Southern Command eliminated three alleged drug traffickers. He claimed to have intelligence identifying them as members of narcoterrorist organizations, but, as is customary, he did not present any evidence to support this assertion.

Meanwhile, the world watches with apathy. Only Gustavo Petro, President of Colombia, responded with a tweet mentioning the operation carried out simultaneously by his nation's Aerospace Force, in which a semi-submersible loaded with cocaine that was about to set sail for Europe was intercepted, all without any injuries reported. However, he also met with Donald Trump and offered gifts. His statements lack weight.
